Last year the average price of a house rose by 9.9% according to the Nationwide, meaning that the typical UK home costs more than £250,000.
The increase can be seen in the past month’s figures the prices rose 0.7% from September to October. This brought the average house price to £250,311.
With the pandemic, the demand intensity has increased in the housing market with more buyers than the supply of homes. Since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic, the average house price has had an increase of £30,728.
This rise is predicted to slow over the coming months, but this boom is not over.
